02-06 AUGUST 2010, BOHICON | TRADE UNIONS’ PARTICIPATION IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GLOBAL JOBS PACT | SUMMER UNIVERSITY
The eighth edition of the Summer University enabled twenty-six young trade union leaders from ten West African countries to develop strategies for the implementation of the global jobs pact in their home countries and hone their personal leadership skills in a series of communications, working groups and exercises. In their final declaration participants called for the global jobs pact to be at the core of all macroeconomic policies in the sub regions, while reaffirming that social dialogue should be at the heart of any development strategy.
